 This wiki is based on My Neighbor Totoro, the 1988 animated film produced by Studio Ghibli, directed and written by Hayao Miyazaki.

My Neighbor Totoro is a fantasy film telling the tale of two young girls called Satsuki and Mei Kusakabe. Set in 1958 Japan, they, along with their father, move into an old house while their mother recovers from an illness. The two girls discover many friendly creatures throughout the film, the main one being a large forest spirit named Totoro. The three befriend eachother and when Mei goes missing, Totoro is the only one who can find her.
